Glass Balustrading

Over the past few years, glass balustrading has become increasingly popular to use in the domestic market. Originally, glass balustrading was saved for use in top end commercial buildings and high tech office spaces, it was always deemed a little too industrial for use on domestic properties. Since industrial style houses have become more common in property design, so has the use of more internal and external glass in homes.

As an increasing amount of properties used glass, it evolved the innovative ways it could be utilised. The glass panels we can supply now can be shaped to match the profile of the staircase, and even curved on plan elevation.  We can even supply glass balustrade panels on staircases without newel posts or handrails, which involves using thicker sections of laminated glass. With the benefit of sharing natural light further around a living space, glass really is a 21st century alternative to traditional timber balustrades.
